The Blaze reports that the charges were dropped against a teenager who was arrested after wearing a tee shirt promoting the NRA. As I understand it, the arrest was not for wearing the shirt, but for the teen’s behavior towards the police. Two sides to this. First, teenagers tend to talk back (no kidding!). I don’t know how far the teen pushed it. The police might have been justified in how they handled it. However, I am not convinced the situation should have ever been allowed to escalate to that level. It was a tee shirt! If we called the cops every time a teenage wore a shirt that was offensive to someone, the police would very busy in deed!!!
I am glad the charges were dropped. And there never should have been an issue with the shirt in the first place.
my opinion, anyways.
